Here's the Peasemore Village Cricket Club fixture list for 2016, also available in pdf format

Remember the 1970's TV Gameshow Call My Bluff with Arthur Marshall and Frank Muir, this is our updated boozy version! Five carefully chosen quality mystery wines will be presented by a panel consisting of 'Wine Bluffers' and other Peasemore Personalities to be tasted/drunk by you. Our personalities will offer several possible identifications for each wine, and each team will be able to vote for what they believe will be the correct one.

Get your team of 6 together in advance or on the night and join us for a fun evening!

This very well received event is back again this year, tickets are now available and need to be booked in advance. The basic gist is the same as last year which is a gathering in a wonderfully presented village hall transformed into your own French bistro, bring your own food but drink from our well stocked bar of beers and fine wines.

Book by the table (£6/table), we provide the cutlery, glasses etc you bring your own feast and company of up to 6 people per table. Bookings in advance please so we can configure the table layout. No previous experience required! Come along and relax, grab a drink, have a bite to eat and play a few rounds of remarkably enjoyable Bingo!!

£7.50 entry includes rustic supper and 5 games of bingo.

Come along to the cricket pitch at 2:30pm on Easter Bank Holiday Monday and join a frantic search around the pitch for elusive eggs left by a very busy Easter Bunny.  All attendees must be accompanied by someone under the age of 16 to keep the over 16's in check and stop them eating all the eggs!

Please be at the cricket pitch by the pavillion by 2:30 and we'll set you all off on your hunt.

Local photography nut Tony Goodger has kindly agreed to run a talk at the village hall on photography and getting the best from your camera.

The talk will cover:-

  • The evolution of photography/cameras to date
  • Knowing what the effect of settings do to an image
  • Short photographic quiz for fun
  • A bit about his photographic journey
  • Slideshow of some of his favourite photographs
  • Q&A

Tony is great fun and will be sure to put on a relaxed, enjoyable and informative talk for all to enjoy whether you're a smartphone snapper or an SLR lens juggler

A bar will also be available to grab some refreshments.

Peasemore Village Hall - 7:30pm for 8pm start

Don't miss the Peasemore Village Cricket Club Quiz Night which will be held on Saturday 18th April 2015 at 7:30pm in the Peasemore Village Hall.  As usual it promises to be a fun filled evening with lots of brain-teasing questions to test the grey matter!

Teams of up to four people are invited to compete, and as ever there will be a licensed bar selling West Berkshire Brewery beers plus wines and soft drinks.
